A.General Questions (10)

As independent contractors, you gain the flexibility of scheduling your own hours and are in control of your own work. You may work as little or as many hours as you desire based on client needs. You can also do more than one client.

Murphy Virtual Solutions, LLC is seeking hard-working and self-motivated Customer Service Representatives to join our growing team of Work From Home call center professionals. This position is geared towards any person who is good at customer service, has strong computer skills, and has a desire to work from home. If you meet those criteria, you can be very successful in this role. Murphy Virtual Solutions, LLC seeks qualified individuals and contracts Customer Service Reps in roles that best fit their qualifications.

You would be communicating with customers via email, phone and/or chat addressing any questions or concerns that they may have. We offer positions from companies such as Theme Parks, Cruise Lines, Software Companies, Fine Dining Restaurants, Telecommunications, Cable Services, Reservationist, Roadside Assistance, Pest Control and so much more.

  • All CSPs (Customer Service Professionals) also known as representatives and/or agents are Independent Contractors NOT employee’s
  • You are contracted in and working for yourself to provide services for Murphy Virtual Solutions, LLC.
  • As an Independent Contractor, you are responsible for filing your own taxes. You will receive a MISC 1099 form as we are required to report to the IRS

 

  • Yes EXCEPT for California Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Oregon, and Wisconsin
  • Some of our clients expect you to take a drug test. 
  • Most do not but only a select few do require it.
  • You would be advised of which clients require it and which do not
  • You will be dealing with the customer’s confidential information such as home address, names, phone numbers and credit card information. In order to be secure Client Support Professionals, you must pass the background check. Each client requires that their Client Support Professionals do not have any felony charges.
  • The background check will typically go back about 7 years and some things that will not pass is theft, fraud, and/or felonies.

  • Murphy Virtual Solutions, LLC is a highly reputable company with many servicing agents. Furthermore, the business department can verify we are registered and in good standings with the secretary of the state at 615-741-2286. Lastly, we do not ask anything up front for you to become a registered agent with Murphy Virtual Solutions, LLC and you are free at any point and time to terminate your relationship with our company. 

 

B.Interview Process (1)

  • Prospect will apply at our website
  • Prospect will be immediately redirected to complete self-paced orientation(if they can not do it then they will additionally receive an email after submission of their app to complete it on their time)
  • After self-paced orientation which consists of new hire paperwork, verification forms and joining chat we will then review their profile within 48 hours (typically the same day). We will get prospect registered in the system and migrated into the MVS portal and send them their credentials and they will have access to opportunities
  • Prospect will then be able to sign up with a client when they desire.

  • The positions range from communicating with customers by phone, chat or email addressing any questions or concerns that they may have

D.Service Revenue (1)

  • We pay via Direct Deposit.
  • You will receive a detailed invoice
  • You would be paid on the 1st and 15th of the month
  • Most agents earn between $9- $16 per hour.
  • All clients will offer a pay per hour guarantee and some clients will offer you a per hour or pay per minute earning. When both are offered, the greater of the two will be received by you. Each client offers additional incentives

E.Equipment Needed (3)

  • No, if you are offered a position you will be given adequate time to obtain the Expected equipment.

F.Certification (2)

  •  Ebooks, programs, client material for Certification and the systems needed for your computer to work from home during production
  • Access to our Virtual Classroom during Certification so that you do not have to drive back and forth to our location to train, thus saving gas money.
  • It will cover any background check cost and drug screenings(if applicable)

  • Certification classes typically last between 2-6 weeks. It is Monday-Friday 2-4 hours a day. It is conducted virtually online lead by a certified instructor.
  • Most of our clients have a blended phase to where you are part-time in class and the other half servicing on the phones so in that case, you are making revenue during Certification.
  • Certification is done from your home, online so that you do not have to spend gas money driving to headquarters to certify.

G.Taxes (1)

Absolutely! that is a great advantage of being a contractor.

  • Tax Write-Offs Include, but are not limited to: Internet, Home phone, Cell phone bills, one time fees, the portion of your home used as your office
  • Agents servicing the cruise line may write off any cruise trips they take after their 90 days and receive cruise discounts
  • Agents servicing the Resort/Theme Park/Dinning client located throughout Orlando Florida may write off any park tickets, hotel, dining, flights, gas, and more as well
  • We recommend speaking with a tax consultant prior to starting if you’re unsure how to file. There are many more things you can use as write-offs
